I know of one organization that is really doing something great. Affordable Homes of South Texas is a Energy Star certified builder. I went to their annual Home Buyer Fair and spoke to their representatives. Even more suprising is the fact that they are a not for profit organization. I was truly impressed. Thanks for the blog. A state champion in soccer (Hidalgo boys), a state finalist in soccer (Brownsville Porter boys), two final four teams in basketball (Hidalgo girls, Santa Rosa boys; each first final four team from Valley in over 30 years), a state champion in wrestling (Sam Mangum of McAllen High; first state wrestling champion in Valley history) and a state champion in track & field (Stephen Saenz of Rio Grande City).
